Time Management

Have you ever felt like there just aren't enough hours in the day? Maybe you have homework to do, a game to play, and you also want to watch your favorite cartoon! Sometimes it feels like everything needs to be done at the same time. This is where time management comes in!

Time stops for none and is equal for all. Everyone has the same 24 hours in a day but some people make better use of time than others.

This is one of the most important reasons some people are experts in what they do. Therefore, time management plays a vital role in both personal as well as professional lives.

Time management is the organized process of dividing your time between tasks and responsibilities, so you can achieve more with less stress.

Time management is like being a superhero of your own day. It means learning how to use your time wisely so you can do all the important things you need to do, and still have fun.

Students who learn time management early do well both in academics and daily life. Good time management allows you to meet deadlines, prepare for exams, and balance study with hobbies.

Time management is basically an effort made consciously to spend a certain amount of time performing a task efficiently. Furthermore, it is estimated that to have better results, one needs to do productive work. Thus, productivity is the key focus here.

Time management is crucial for students from an academic perspective as students require to cover many subjects. Efficiently managing time is an important skill in everyone’s life.

Time management is the process of planning and performing pre-scheduled activities with the aim of increasing productivity, effectiveness and efficiency. Different cultures hold different views on Time Management. However, a multi-active time view and a linear time view are the two predominant views.

Why is Time Management Important for Students?

Helps finish assignments before deadlines.

Creates time for homework, hobbies, and rest.

Reduces last-minute panic before exams.

Builds discipline and confidence.

Improves results in school and competitive tests.

Managing time is not only about being busy. It is about doing what matters most efficiently. When you learn this skill, you get better grades and have more free time for yourself.

So, remember, time is precious! By making a plan, prioritizing, and focusing, you can become a time management master. This will help you have a happy and successful day, every single day!

A Touching Farewell

This incident is not from a film, but true.

It is about a certain person by name Mr Zavere Poonawala, who is a well-known industrialist from Pune. He had his driver named Gangadatta with him for the last 30 years on his limousine, which was originally owned by Bhagwan Rajneesh, and which Mr Poonawala had bought from him.

Gangadatta passed away recently and at that time Mr. Poonawala was in Mumbai on important work. As soon as he heard the news, he cancelled all his meetings, requested the driver's family to await him for the cremation and he came back immediately by a helicopter.

On reaching Pune, he asked his men to decorate the limo with flowers as he wished Gangadatta should be taken in the same vehicle which he drove since the beginning. When Gangadatta's family agreed to his wishes, Mr. Poonawala sat in the driver's seat and himself drove Gangadatta in his limousine from the house to the ghat on his last journey.

When asked, Mr Poonawala was very sorrowful and replied that Gangadatta had served him day and night and he could at least do this, being eternally grateful to him. He further added that Gangadatta rose up from poverty and educated both his children very well. His daughter is a Chartered accountant and that is so commendable.

His comment in the end is the essence of a successful life in all aspects. " I earned money and successful in life which is nothing unusual, but I should always be grateful to those people who contribute to my success. This is the sanskara I have been brought up with which made me do what I did."

Someone has so rightly said :

Life is like a sea.. We are moving about without end. Nothing remains with us..What remains are just....the memories of some people, who touched our lives as waves.

“ It's not hard to sacrifice something for someone

It's hard to find someone who deserves your sacrifice ... !! ”

Laws of Nature

1. Law of Mechanical Repair - After your hands become coated with grease, your nose will begin to itch and you'll have to pee.

2. Law of Gravity - Any tool, nut, bolt, screw, when dropped, will roll to the least accessible corner.

3. Law of Probability - The probability of being watched is directly proportional to the stupidity of your act.

4. Law of Random Numbers - If you dial a wrong number, you never get a busy signal and someone always answers.

6. Variation Law - If you change lines (or traffic lanes), the one you were in will always move faster than the one you are in now (works every time).

7. Law of the Bath - When the body is fully immersed in water, the telephone rings.

8. Law of Close Encounters - The probability of meeting someone you know increases dramatically when you are with someone you don't want to be seen with.

9. Law of the Result - When you try to prove to someone that a machine won't work, it will.

10. Law of Bio-mechanics - The severity of the itch is inversely proportional to the reach.

11.. Law of the Theater & Hockey Arena - At any event, the people whose seats are furthest from the aisle, always arrive last. They are the ones who will leave their seats several times to go for food, beer, or the toilet and who leave early before the end of the performance or the game is over. The folks in the aisle seats come early, never move once, have long gangly legs or big bellies and stay to the bitter end of the performance. The aisle people also are very surly folk.

12. The Coffee Law - As soon as you sit down to a cup of hot coffee, your boss will ask you to do something which will last until the coffee is cold.

15. Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

16. Brown's Law of Physical Appearance - If the clothes fit, they're ugly.

17. Oliver's Law of Public Speaking - A closed mouth gathers no feet.

18. Wilson's Law of Commercial Marketing Strategy - As soon as you find a product that you really like, they will stop making it.

19. Doctors' Law - If you don't feel well, make an appointment to go to the doctor, by the time you get there you'll feel better.. But don't make an appointment, and you'll stay sick.

Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.

For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.

It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed . It will slow down the digestion.

Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.

A serious note about heart attacks : Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.

Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.

You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.

Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.

60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.

Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive.

Keep Walking

 Jus to check this out......

The Organs of your body have their sensory touches at the bottom of your foot, if you massage these points you will find relief from aches and pains as you can see the heart is on the left foot.

Typically they are shown as points and arrows to show which organ it connects to.

It is indeed correct since the nerves connected to these organs terminate here.

This is covered in great details in Acupressure studies or textbooks.

God created our body so well that he thought of even this. He made us walk so that we will always be pressing these pressure points and thus keeping these organs activated at all times.

So, keep walking...

Think about it!

Yesterday, I was driving, and the FM radio went off for few seconds. I thought, I should have an iPod. Then suddenly I realized that I have not used my iPod in last 6 months. And then, more things, Handy Cam in last 2 years, Digital Camera in last 2 months, DVD player in last 1 month and many more. Now I can say that I bought that Handy Cam just out of impulse, I have used it twice only in last 4 years.

So, what's wrong and where? When I look at myself or my friends, I can see it everywhere. We are not happy with what we have but all are stressed and not happy for the things we don't have. You have a Santro, but you want City; You have a City, but you want Skoda. Just after buying a new phone, we need another one. Better laptop, bigger TV, faster car, bigger house, more money, I mean, these examples are endless. The point is, is it worth? Do we ever think if we actually need those things before, we want them?

After this, I was forced to think what I need and what I don't. Maybe I didn't need this Handy cam or the iPod or that DVD player. When I see my father back at home. He has a simple BPL color TV; he doesn't need 32" Sony LCD wall mount. He has a cell phone worth Rs 2,500. Whenever I ask him to change the phone, he always says, "Its a phone, I need this just for calls."

And believe me; he is much happier in life than me with those limited resources and simple gadgets. The very basic reason why he is happy with so little is that he doesn't want things in life to make it luxurious, but he wants only those things which are making his life easier. It's a very fine line between these two, but after looking my father's lifestyle closely, I got the point. He needs a cell phone but not the iPhone. He needs a TV but not the 32" plasma. He needs a car but not an expensive one.

Initially I had lot of questions.

I am earning good, still I am not happy……why ?

I have all luxuries, still I am stressed.... ....... why?

I had a great weekend, still I am feeling tired...... why?

I met lot of people, I thought over it again and again, I still don't know if I got the answers, but certainly figured out few things. I realize that one thing which is keeping me stressed is the "stay connected" syndrome. I realized that, at home also I am logged in on messengers, checking mails, using social networks, and on the top of that, the windows mobile is not letting me disconnect. On the weekend itself, trying to avoid unwanted calls, and that is keeping my mind always full of stress. I realized that I am spending far lesser money than what I earn, even then I am always worried about money and more money. I realized that I am saving enough money I would ever need, whenever needed. Still, I am stressed about job and salary and spends.

May be, many people will call this approach "not progressive attitude", but I want my life back. Ultimately, it's a single life, a day gone is a day gone. I believe if I am not happy tonight, I'll never be happy tomorrow morning. I finally realized that meeting friends, spending quality time with your loved one's; spending time with yourself is the most important thing.

If on Sunday you are alone and you don't have anybody to talk with, then all that luxuries life, all that money is wasted. May be cutting down your requirements, re-calculating your future goal in the light of today's happiness is a worthwhile thing to do. May be selling off your Santro and buying Honda City on EMIs is not a good idea. I believe putting your happiness ahead of money is the choice we need to make.

I think, a lot can be said and done but what we need the most is re-evaluation of the value of happiness and time we are giving to our life and people associated with it.

Think about it.

School - Our First Home Away From Home

I must have cried for going to school
My eyes still get wet remembering the school.

It was such a big family where we had so many Mothers to help us
and as many Dads to scold us. It was never less than a Home.

It was a place everyone was King,
Place where life never use to blink.

Every though of teacher was a fact,
everyone's dream was to be a teacher.

Never felt the need to know, who is God?
Life was simple, as it cab be.

We were the reason for smile on Elder's face and
Sometimes a line on worry on their forehead.
